AMUSENS Workshop at ICCHP 2026 Highlights Research on Ageing, Disability and Smart Monitoring

On 15 July 2026, the AMUSENS project organized a workshop in the Innovation Area of “Ageing and Disability” during the International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs (ICCHP) in Prague. The workshop was led by Jérôme Boudy, Italo De Oliveira Santos, Luiz Miranda (partner IMT) and Giorgos Vosinakis (partner ICCS)  .

The workshop focused on smart-home monitoring, air-quality sensing and technologies supporting older adults and people with disabilities. The programme included presentations on data fusion for virtual coaching, contextual and environmental monitoring in smart-home environments, breath analysis for respiratory distress prevention, and air-quality detection using multi-pixel gas sensors.

According to the organizers, the workshop was well received by the audience. The contributions from ICCS and IMT were considered particularly original within the ICCHP thematic framework and generated positive interest among participants.

The event also provided an opportunity to promote the AMUSENS project through the distribution of project leaflets and discussions with researchers and practitioners attending the conference.
